How to Design the Perfect Embroidery for Your Fleece Jacket
Fleece jackets become more than just basic outerwear when they are embroidered with your brand's identity - they become workwear uniform.
You need to take a variety of considerations into account while designing your perfect embroidery, such as the positioning, the quality of your artwork, and selecting the best embroidery partner. With the help of this guide, you can make sure that your fleece jackets come out just the way you intended.
Choosing the Best Embroidery Placement
Left Breast
Embroidering the left breast is a timeless option, particularly for work uniform. Most fleece jackets we embroider have a left breast position with an embroidered company logo. Smaller logos or monograms look great in this position, which guarantees that your design is noticeable but not overbearing.
Right Breast
The right breast placement can be used for secondary logos or names, balancing the design when paired with a primary logo on the left breast. This spot works well for adding additional personalisation to corporate uniform.
It's tempting to request staff names here, but that can become quite expensive. Every embroidery must be drawn stitch by stitch, and for unique embroideries, you can soon run up quite the bill. We would recommend NOT embroidering individual names on garments, and instead opt for name badges which are pennies on the pound compared to unique embroidery - we can help with that, just give us a call.
Left Sleeve
Embroidery on the left sleeve is great for adding a logo or a small graphic that complements the main design on the front.
It’s an excellent choice for team jerseys or workwear, providing a unique touch that stands out.
Right Sleeve
Similar to the left sleeve position, the right sleeve is an option for further branding or design features. It's a flexible location for a range of uses and is frequently used for, accreditation logos, sponsorships or event branding.
If you are going for a Left Breast logo and a single sleeve design, we would recommend putting the sleeve design on the right sleeve to help balance out the garment.
Nape of Neck
The nape of the neck is ideal for long and narrow logos, website URLs or designs that you want to be displayed when viewed from behind.
This placement is often used for expanding the brand beyond just the logo.
Large Back Embroidered Logo
Although we can do this, we absolutely do not recommend having a large embroidered logo on the back of a fleece.
Firstly, it would be very uncomfortable for the wearer. A large, hard, unforgiving embroidered logo or design on the back wouldn't move with the garment. Secondly, the stitch count would be enormous. Your first 8000 stitches are included in the price, which (trust us) is plenty for nearly all logos. But then you get charged for every 1000 stitches after that - and the larger the design, the higher the stitch count and the higher the price.
It could cost you a fortune for something nobody really likes wearing - and print simply doesn't work on fleece fabric.
